Ibrahim (L) representing Sierra Leone for the first time at the 2019 Tour de Guinea.
This Sunday 28 September 2025, one rider from the Lunsar Cycling Team will do what no other Sierra Leonean athlete ever has and race in the UCI World Championships road race.
Ibrahim Jalloh is a homegrown rider from Lunsar Cycling Team, and twice-winner of the Tour de Lunsar.
This is a moment not just for the town, but for our country to celebrate.

Like so many Sierra Leonean cyclists, Jalloh has had to overcome a lot. The rider known most commonly as ‘Bianchi’ is currently resident in Dubai, where he moved to try and further his cycling. He paid for his own flight to Rwanda in order to participate in the World Championships, and his accommodation costs have been covered by the private funds of Lunsar Cycling Team founder, Abdul Karim Kamara.
From disappointment to the world stage: Ibrahim’s 2019 Tour de Lunsar was cut short by a mechanical and he was forced to climb off at Port Loko.
Make sure to watch Ibrahim and Sierra Leone teammate Mustapha Koroma in the road race on Sunday 28 September. The race begins at 09:35 local time in Rwanda (08:35 Sierra Leone time).
