Why Should I race the Tour de Lunsar?

This was never supposed to purely be a Sierra Leonean event. It is so important for our riders to race against foreigners so that they can grow and develop as cyclists. We also hope that you will learn a thing or two from our committed, dedicated and talented team. You will be racing against Sierra Leone’s best and helping to grow the sport in the country. You will truly be able to say that you are at the vanguard of the development of African cycling. 

Where does my entry fee go?

Your entry fee will be used to help run the event and support our riders in future races. Understandably the West African climate can be difficult to get used to. If you are racing as an individual, water service will be provided by the race organisation. Our main expenditures are travel to races, feeding of riders after races and training sessions, and race entries. Every penny of your fee will help go towards these things. 

What about extra costs?

The fee does not cover where you will stay but we are here to help assist with accommodation booking in Lunsar. Additionally, we can help with collection from Lungi airport – at extra cost – if required.
